Results of the XVII specialized exhibition “Horticulture of Russia”

From 7 to 9 October 2020, the Association “Greenhouses of Russia” with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation in Moscow at VDNKh (pavilion No. 57) held the XVII specialized exhibition “Protected Soil of Russia”, which has become one of the most significant events of the agro-industrial complex in the current year.


The exhibition was attended by representatives of the State Duma, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Agro-Industrial Union of Russia, the agro-industrial complex of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, greenhouse enterprises, industry unions and associations, banking structures.

Active participants – exhibitors, despite the restrictive measures caused by the coronavirus pandemic this year, were about 100 enterprises and firms, including from Russia, Belarus, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, which presented greenhouse designs, the latest technologies, machinery, equipment and materials, high-yielding varieties and hybrids of vegetable crops, modern plant protection products, mineral fertilizers; soils and substrates, containers and packaging for efficient greenhouse production.

Greenhouse factories displayed a wide range of fresh vegetables, mushrooms and salads on display windows.

More than 60 greenhouse enterprises, mushroom and vegetable farms, as well as companies working in the field of protected ground for the design and construction of greenhouses, the introduction of technologies, materials and equipment, plant protection products and fertilizers, seeds and hybrids of vegetable crops in the greenhouse took part in the exhibition. economy of the country, representatives of more than 10 print media, the All-Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Growing – a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution FNTSO, industry unions and associations.

In total, more than 1,250 people took part in the exhibition, including 1,180 specialists and managers of greenhouse plants, mushroom and floriculture enterprises, regional ministries, representative offices, development corporations, investment companies, scientists, teachers, students and postgraduates of agricultural universities, farmers from different corners of Russia, mass media.

The opening ceremony was attended by:

The exhibition was opened by the General Director of the Association “Greenhouses of Russia” Natalia Dmitrievna Rogova, giving the floor to Pyotr Aleksandrovich Chekmarev, who addressed the organizers, participants and guests of the exhibition with wishes of successful and fruitful work, stressing that it is a large-scale and significant event for protected soil in Russia and demonstrates dynamic development of this important area of ​​agricultural production, despite the difficult conditions of 2020.

Also welcoming the participants of the exhibition were: Yuri Alekseevich Borisov and Andrey Vasilyevich Medvedev.

Evgeny Andreyanov voiced a greeting from the Director of the Department of Plant Growing, Mechanization of Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Roman Vladimirovich Nekrasov (Appendix, see below).

After the opening and familiarization of the guests with the key expositions of the exhibition, a conference was held with interest in the conference hall on the topic: “The potential for effective development of greenhouse vegetable growing, mushroom growing and floriculture in modern economic conditions.”

A presentation of the company’s new lamp took place at the REFLAX Group stand.

A round table was held: “Issues of interaction of greenhouse enterprises with retail chains.”

At the beginning of the event, a documentary film was shown, shot with the participation of the Rosselkhoznadzor, the Association “Greenhouses of Russia” and the greenhouse complex LLC “Agrokultura Group” in Kashira, by the TV channel Russia 24 on the safety of fruit and vegetable products.
